At Oliver & Alcázar we have the most modern diagnostic and treatment techniques and equipment for handling all types of oral problems more quickly, less invasively and with much greater comfort for our patients.

    Conscious sedation

    Guided surgery

    CT scans

    Panoramic radiograph

    Conscious sedation

Conscious sedation is recommended for patients who require dentistry work or surgeries that require longer periods of time and for patients who are afraid or anxious about this work.

    It can be performed:
Nitrous oxide through the nose that relaxes the patient with almost immediate recovery, or can also be given intravenously. This simple technique relaxes patients, whose mouths will not have feeling during the procedure, but always remain aware, where the patient and professional can speak throughout.

    Guided surgery

Used in treatments with dental implants. Computer guided surgery is one of the most advanced planning techniques, providing a preliminary view on the computer of how to virtually place the implants.  After taking an x-ray of the patient’s jaw area with an oral scanner (CT), a three-dimensional image of the jawbone is obtained. The resulting data are entered into a software program, which generates 2D and 3D reconstructions of the patient’s mouth. We can simulate the operation at this point, which lets us place the implants in their optimal position for perfect appearance and function and maximum use of the bone.

    CT scans

Dental cone beam CTs have revolutionised implantology and odontology in recent years. Used in dental implant and endodontic treatments, as well as for diagnoses for cysts where there are teeth or bone infections.

Dental CT scans let us reduce the time enormously from the initial diagnosis until the patient’s implant is installed. This high precision technology provides a three dimensional image of the patient’s mouth, as well as displaying the amount of bone at a concrete site of his or her jaw, essential for efficient diagnosis and assuring complete treatment success.

    Panoramic radiograph

The orthopantomogram, or the panoramic radiograph, is an x-ray technique that represents an overall image of the maxilla, mandible and teeth, on a single film.

It is absolutely essential both in oral surgery treatments, implantology, orthodontics, periodontics, as well as for oral and dental diseases to be able to provide a correct diagnosis of the patient’s exact problem or pathology.
